Yay! A toy that intrigues the baby without driving the parent nuts.

My 10 month old likes high stimulus, so she seems to get bored with her toys quickly and doesn't think much of toys that don't DO something. This piano has a lot going on and so far it's been enough to keep her entertained better than any other toy.
Primarily I like its design. The 'composer' function doesn't just play one song quickly, repeatedly and loudly as most piano toys with some kind of 'demo' function do. When the baby hits a key, it plays one phrase. The next time a key is pressed gets another musical phrase. It's pleasant to listen to, you aren't left with one short tune running through your head and there's seven different melodies. In short, it seems like someone put some thought into what would make a piano toy fun and interesting to play with. It doesn't feel like it's been dumbed down on the assumption that parents don't care and babies don't know the difference. |
My 7 month old son loves this piano!!

This is a great interactive toy for babies who love music.....Especially when they are learning to sit up on their own and good for tummy time too. It lights up and has 3 different play modes, sounds, and languages. It's not too loud, holds thier attention span, teaches them to push the buttons to get it to play, and is small so it can go to Grandma's for a weekend. My son loves the little spinner with the beads too. One thing you should know is, if your child is strong or plays rough and is active as mine,(he is only 7 months old and a big boy!) the piano is hard plastic with some weight to it and well, you get the idea!
Definitely a best buy!

I bought this because I had no other real toys for my 5 mos. old. He loved kicking the keys at first, now it has helped him sit up so he can use his hands. I did have to put the toy up onto the tray of his little seat so it would be at hand level, but once he is sitting up better, this may not be the case. I would definitely recommend this toy if you are wondering what to buy your "transitional" baby who is between 4 and 6 mos. old and not quite sitting up unsupported yet.
Help baby sit up!!

This toy is an excellent purchase for a 4-5 month old. My son was sort of sitting up, but this toy drove him to sit up on his own! He loves playing with the different settings and the rolling cylinder as well.
Love it!

My son got this for Christmas when he was just a few months old. During tummy time I would put this in front of him and "play" music for him. He really enjoyed it. Now he is almost a year and he still loves the lights and music. He just loves piano type toys. There is also the small spinning rattle type toy attached at the top. He has quite a few toys with this type of rattle attached. He loves to just sit and roll it back and forth with one hand. That alone keeps him entertained for a little while. This toy doesn't occupy him nearly as well now that he is a bit older, but it is one of the few that I can say I enjoyed. The music is nice. It isn't annoying. There is actually an OFF button, which a few of his toys do NOT have. And the speaker is on the bottom, so even on the loud setting it isn't obnoxiously loud.
